Tufftride is salt bath nitriding process patented by our principals M/s. Durferrit GmbH, formerly M/s. Degussa AG, Germany. In English Speaking countries, this process is known as Tufftride where as in Germany and USA, the same is known as Tenifer & Melonite respectively.
Tufftride is used by wide range of industries across the world for the improvement of surface properties such as wear resistance ( 400 - 1000% ), corrosion resistance, anti scuffing and anti galling properties, fatigue strength ( 60 - 100% ) etc. for any steel, cast iron or sintered iron materials. This process is widely used world over for various components such as dies / tools, extruders/screws of plastic machinery, various gears, crankshafts, camshafts, king pins, engine valves, needle roller cages, etc. etc. The list is long.
Cecontrol salts for cyanide free Carburising & carbonitriding processes involve diffusion of carbon (carburising) & carbon + Nitrogen (carbonitriding) into the surface of work piece. Apart from steel grade, the amount of final carbon in the surface zone is determined primarily by the carburising activity of the salt melt (activation level). The carburisation depth is a factor of the treatment temperature & time. CECONTROL is the environment friendly cyanide-free regenerator to be used only with base salts CECONTROL 50H, 80B, 110B etc. This regenerable carburising process is non-toxic and avoids the need to transport and store cyanide – thus making a valuable contribution in protecting the environment.
RS 4 salts for sand removal of intricate castings are used for the quick and gentle removal of moulding sand, graphite, oil coke, casting crust & scale for CI, steel & cast aluminum even from narrow crevices & small bore holes. There are other salts such as RS LT for titanium descaling, RS 6 for paint removal etc.
Boriding Compound is for the thermochemical enrichment of the surface of a work piece with boron. The resulting thickness of the boride film is determined by temperature, time and the composition of the material. Boriding can be done in powder or paste form. Boride layers have special benefits on components which have to withstand abrasive wear.
Rubbercure Heat Transfer salts : Very often chemical processes take place in a closely defined and frequently very narrow temperature range. In industrial plants, salts are used as heat transfer media for heating and cooling as well as for holding at constant temperature. ASD salts are heat transfer salts for chemical industry while RUUBERCURE are for vulcanizing in LCM & PLCV plants.
Decarb Free salts for HSS Tools & Dies : High Speed Steels are heat treated at very high temperature. In order to achieve the longest possible service life of tools, it is important that the surface should not get affected by the heat treatment. Decarburisation and decrease in the alloying elements result in a shorter service life. HSS SEMPERNEUTRAL Salts prevent decarburization and a decrease in the alloying elements. The salts for first / second / third stage preheating, heating at hardening temperature, quenching, tempering are available. The foil method is also developed for checking these baths on an industrial scale.
Two types of steel foil are available, 0.1% C foil for checking and controlling the carbon potential of carburising baths and 1% C foil for checking and controlling the decarburisation effect of neutral baths particularly HSS baths.
